The VDI / DIN Commission Clean Air (KRdL) Standards Committee is a joint body of VDI and DIN for the creation of standards for air pollution control. Due to its proximity to the national and European legal system, the VDI guidelines and DIN standards published by the KRdL are relieved of state responsibility. The work of the KRdL covers all relevant topics of air pollution control: environmental protection technology, environmental meteorology, environmental quality, environmental metrology. Taking into account the latest developments, guideline VDI 3677-1 describes the separation of solid particles from gases with filtering separators (surface filters) for emission reduction, process gas purification and recovery of valuable materials.
